Osterly Market Blueberry Concentrate 500 mg
500 mg standardised concentrate per softgel.
Concentrated blueberry, standardised, one fruit — not a berry blend where blueberry is the word on the front and the smallest line on the back.
What it's for
Blueberry concentrate is taken for its anthocyanins, the pigments that make the fruit dark. They are studied for antioxidant activity and, more interestingly, for effects on blood vessel function and memory in older adults. The doses in those trials are usually higher than one capsule, which is worth knowing before you expect too much.
How to take it
- One softgel daily, with or without food
- No timing considerations
- This is a supplement to eating fruit, not a substitute for it
- Standardised concentrate carries several times the anthocyanin of a juice powder — check that word on any competing label
On the label
- 500 mg concentrate per softgel, standardised
- Single fruit
- 120 softgels
What this is not
- Not a berry blend
- Not juice powder
- Not a vitamin C product
The straight answer
Concentrate and juice powder are both sold as 'blueberry' and differ several-fold in anthocyanin content. This is concentrate and it is standardised.
