Osterly Market Kids Multivitamin & Omega Gummies
Sugar free, no sugar alcohols. Keep the bottle where children cannot reach it.
An all-in-one children's multivitamin gummy with omegas, for ages four and up.
What it's for
A children's multivitamin is insurance against a narrow diet, not a nutritional requirement. Most children eating a reasonably varied diet do not need one. Where they earn their place is with fussy eaters, restricted diets, or a period of illness. This one is sugar free and, unusually, made without sugar alcohols, which are the common cause of stomach upset in children's gummies.
How to take it
- Children four years and older: two gummies daily
- Under four: do not use without asking a paediatrician — chewy gummies are also a choking risk at that age
- Store it out of sight and out of reach, and treat the cap as a real lock. Gummy vitamins taste like sweets, and children eating a large number of them is one of the more common reasons families end up calling poison control. If that happens, call your local poison centre straight away
- Do not give alongside another multivitamin. Doubling up on vitamin A in particular is not harmless in children
On the label
- Sugar free, no sugar alcohols
- Multivitamin with omegas
- Ages 4+, two gummies daily
- 30 gummies
What this is not
- Not a substitute for food
- Not for children under four
- Not a sweet, however much it looks and tastes like one
The straight answer
The honest reason to buy a children's multivitamin is peace of mind during a fussy phase, and that is a perfectly good reason. But the most useful sentence on this page is the storage one: the thing that makes children take these willingly is the same thing that makes them take twenty. Put it somewhere they cannot get to.
