Osterly Market Lutein 30 mg with Zeaxanthin
30 mg lutein, stated as lutein.
Lutein at 30 mg with zeaxanthin, single-purpose, no supporting cast.
What it's for
Lutein and zeaxanthin build up in the macula and act as a pigment filter, absorbing short-wavelength light before it reaches the photoreceptors. Supplementing reliably increases that pigment density. Whether denser pigment protects vision over decades is the open question — it is plausible and it is not proven.
How to take it
- One capsule daily with a meal containing fat
- Consistency beats dose. Daily at 30 mg does more than occasional at 40
- Three to six months before macular pigment measurably changes
- If you already eat a lot of kale, spinach and egg yolks you are getting some of this from food
On the label
- 30 mg lutein stated
- Zeaxanthin named
- 120 capsules
What this is not
- Not a multi-nutrient eye formula
- Not a cure for anything
- Not a proprietary blend
The straight answer
This is lutein and zeaxanthin and nothing else. If you want the vitamins and minerals too, buy the Eye Support Formula — but check that its number is a blend weight, because it is.
