Osterly Market Magnesium Complex — Eight Forms
Elemental magnesium on the front. Eight forms, all named.
Eight forms of magnesium in one capsule, with the elemental magnesium total printed where you can see it — which is the number that actually matters and the one most labels leave off.
What it's for
Magnesium is involved in more than three hundred enzyme reactions, including muscle contraction, nerve signalling and energy production. Most people get less than the recommended amount from food. This blends eight forms because they absorb at different rates and are tolerated differently — glycinate gently, citrate quickly, malate steadily.
How to take it
- Follow the label dose, ideally in the evening
- With or without food; food reduces stomach upset if you get any
- Magnesium builds up over weeks — this is not a same-night product
- Take it two hours apart from antibiotics and thyroid medication. Check with a doctor first if you have kidney disease
On the label
- Elemental magnesium total stated
- Glycinate, malate, citrate and five more, each named
- 120 capsules
What this is not
- Not a single-form product — see our Magnesium Glycinate 500 mg for that
- Not labelled by compound weight alone
- Not a sleep aid, though magnesium is often sold as one
The straight answer
A '1000 mg magnesium' capsule usually means 1000 mg of a magnesium compound. The actual magnesium in it might be 141 mg. We print the smaller, truer number.
