Osterly Market Multivitamin for Women – Daily Nutrient Foundation
Every nutrient with its own amount and %DV.
A daily multivitamin built around the nutrients women most often run short on, with a full per-nutrient panel and no proprietary blend.
What it's for
A multivitamin is insurance against small dietary gaps, not a treatment. This one includes iron, folate, calcium and vitamin D — the four that show up most often as genuine shortfalls in women's dietary surveys. The evidence that multivitamins improve health outcomes in well-fed people is weak; the evidence that they close measurable gaps is solid.
How to take it
- One capsule daily with food
- Food improves absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins and reduces nausea from the iron
- Take it two hours apart from coffee or tea — both interfere with iron absorption
- Iron can cause constipation and dark stools. Both are normal
On the label
- Full vitamin and mineral profile with amounts and %DV
- Includes iron, folate, calcium and vitamin D
- Available in 60 or 120 capsules
What this is not
- Not a prenatal — folate needs are higher and different in pregnancy
- Not a treatment for diagnosed deficiency
- Not a substitute for eating properly
The straight answer
If you have been told you are anaemic, that needs a proper iron supplement and a blood test, not a multivitamin with iron in it.
