Osterly Market Eye Support Formula — Lutein & Zeaxanthin
800 mg+ per serving, 60 days in the bottle.
A multi-nutrient eye formula built around lutein and zeaxanthin, with the serving size and the day count both stated on the front.
What it's for
Lutein and zeaxanthin are the two carotenoids that concentrate in the macula, the small central part of the retina you read and recognise faces with. Your body cannot make either, so the amount in your macula depends on what you eat — dark leafy greens, egg yolks — or what you supplement. The clearest evidence is that supplementing raises macular pigment density; what that means for long-term vision is far less settled than the category implies.
How to take it
- One capsule daily with a meal
- Take it with something fatty. These are fat-soluble carotenoids and a low-fat meal absorbs them poorly
- Macular pigment takes months to shift, not days. Trials measure at three to six months
- Nothing here treats an eye condition. If your vision is changing, that is an optometrist's job, not a capsule's
On the label
- 800 mg+ per serving, blend weight
- Lutein and zeaxanthin named
- 120 capsules, 60 day supply
What this is not
- Not a treatment for any eye disease
- Not a substitute for an eye exam
- Not individually dosed — the 800 mg is the blend
The straight answer
The 800 mg is the whole blend, not the lutein. Most eye formulas are sold this way and almost none say so. If you want a known lutein dose, buy a product that prints one.
